Finally, Niclas Füllkrug had to pause for a long time. The waiting time could come to an end promptly, reports the attacker himself.

Niclas Füllkrug announced an early comeback after a long injury break. “I’m on the right track,” said the 32-year-old from West Ham United in an interview with Sky at the farewell game of Werder-Legende Diego on Sunday in the Bremen Weser Stadium.

The attacker explained that he got back into team training. “I am slowly introduced, but it was also a longer injury,” Füllkrug continued.

The striker switched from Borussia Dortmund to the Premier League last August, but suffered an Achilles tendon injury there after less than a month. After a short comeback in December, he failed again for two months due to a thigh injury.

During the current international break, Füllkrug undertook a small tour of Germany. On Wednesday he visited the German national team before the National League game against Italy in Dortmund. On Saturday evening he accepted the invitation from Diego to Bremen, where he could not participate in the farewell game in front of 42,000 spectators due to his injury.
