The Edmonton Oilers around the German ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl in the NHL-Playoffs suffer a setback. The Oilers lost in the North American professional league at the Los Angeles Kings with 2: 3 (0: 1, 2: 1, 0: 0, 0: 1) after extra time.

Trevor Moore scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of overtime for the Kings, who now lead 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

Draisaitl, who had characterized the first two games of the series with three goals, among other things, was not quite as conspicuous this time. The 27-year-old attacker helped prepare Connor McDavid’s lead in the middle third. League top scorer McDavid scored his first two goals of this year’s playoffs in a nearly identical manner within two minutes. But that wasn’t enough for the Oilers in the end, as they couldn’t convert their dominance into more goals in regulation time. Kings goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalo saved 38 of 40 shots on his goal. In overtime, the Oilers went without a shot on goal.

The Oilers and Kings had already delivered an exciting seven-game series in the first round of the playoffs last year. This year, the Oilers are considered favorites after nine wins in a row at the end of the main round.

Bruins and Wild take the lead in the series

The Boston Bruinswho set a historic win and points record in the main round, won the Florida Panthers 4-2 and took a 2-1 lead in the series. The Minnesota Wild won against them Dallas Stars 5:1 and lead in the series 2:1. The New York Islanders also won 5-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes and shortened the series to 1:2.
