The Seattle Kraken around German national ice hockey goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer have achieved their second win in a row in the NHL.

The team won against the Utah Hockey Club 5:2 (2:1, 0:1, 3:0). Grubauer saved 28 shots on goal and was selected as one of the three stars of the game. Jaden Schwartz was decisive offensively, giving Seattle the lead in the final third with his twelfth goal of the season after he helped set up the Kraken’s first two goals.

Weak balance improved a little for Grubauer

With the win, Seattle also shortens its gap to Utah in the table, but is still well behind the wild card spots for the playoffs just before the halfway point of the season. For Grubauer it was only the fifth success in his 15th appearance this season. Since last winter, the 33-year-old has only been number two behind goalkeeper Joey Daccord, who was missing against Utah.
