Ice Hockey NHL Society Philadelphia Flyers has been released by head coach John Tortorella from their mission.
Tortorela coached Flyers from 2022 to 23. Flyers are currently second in the Eastern Conference with the last 65 points. The team has lost its 11 previous 12 matches.
Tortorella shrugged after the previous game after the Flyers had lost to Toronto 2-7.
– This goes to my account. I’m not really interested in learning how to coach this type of season we play now. But I have to do a better job, so this goes to my spike. I have to get the team to play properly until we finish, Tortorela said.
NHL insider supplier Elliote Friedman wrote that Tortore has “retreated aside” and that the flyers “makes a coaching change”.
The Flyers themselves announced that it had released Tortorella from his duties. Tortorella’s left hand Brad Shaw Has temporarily taken over the head coach.
