After a sleepy first third and a 4-0 deficit, German national ice hockey player Moritz Seider made a successful comeback in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings.
The Motor City team won 5-4 after overtime against the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was the 15th win in 33 games for the fourth-placed in the Atlantic Division. Seider remained without a scorer point.
Jake Walman made the decision (63rd). The Penguins had already led 4-0 after the first 20 minutes, then Detroit came back.
Grubauer loses with Seattle
Goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer saved 41 shots, but lost 3-2 at home to the Calgary Flames with the Seattle Kraken. Seattle is fourth in the Pacific Division, Calgary moved ahead in the table by winning.
