NHL: Buffalo Sabers and John-Jason Peterka win confidently against San José Sharks

The Buffalo Sabers with the German national ice hockey player and runner-up John-Jason Peterka inflicted their 13th defeat on the San José Sharks in the last 14 NHL games.

The team from the US state of New York won 3-0 (0-0, 2-0, 1-0) and moved up to 13th place in the Eastern Conference. Vice world champion Nico Sturm was missing from the Sharks – his team remains last in the Western Conference.

A balanced first period ended goalless on Martin Luther King Day. In the second 20 minutes, Buffalo’s Casey Mittelstadt took the lead (32′), Alex Tuch immediately increased (35′).

In the final third, Jordan Greenway made everything clear with his goal (57′). Peterka remained without a goal.
