NFL pundit celebrates victory in $100m lawsuit

Michael Irvin is suing the Marriott hotel chain for $100 million. The NFL pundit was pulled from the last Super Bowl for allegedly improper behavior towards a woman at a hotel. In the process he was able to win a partial victory.

Irvin denied the allegations against him from the start. The former Dallas Cowboys player admitted that he spoke to a woman in an Arizona hotel lobby. According to his statement, however, this conversation took place in a pleasant and respectful setting.

Since the 56-year-old had to cope with a loss of salary as a result of the allegation, he sued the “Marriott”, which reported the alleged incident. Irvin has now taken a big step towards proving his innocence and winning the case.

“A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the Marriott to provide Michael Irvin with all video footage, testimony and written accounts related to his stay at a Phoenix hotel last month, earning the former Cowboys wide receiver a significant 100th game win -million-dollar lawsuit against the hotel chain,” wrote the Dallas Morning News.

The relevant documents must be in the District Court by 5:00 p.m. on March 7th.

NFL expert can prove innocence through witnesses

The Athletic writer Daniel Kaplan reported that “In a court filing, Michael Irvin listed three witnesses who say they did not see him misbehaving in a hotel lobby on Sunday before the Super Bowl.”

Incidentally, Irvin himself was completely caught off guard by the allegation at the time. “Honestly, after all this, I’m a bit at a loss,” the former NFL professional told the Dallas Morning News shortly after the incident became known.

“I spoke to this girl. I don’t know her and I spoke to her for about 45 seconds. We shook hands and then I left,” Irvin said. The records that the “Marriott” wanted to keep under lock and key should finally confirm the words of the Hall of Famers.
