NFL prospect CJ Stroud comments on Test debacle

CJ Stroud involuntarily made headlines a few days ago when he failed catastrophically in a prestigious test. According to the quarterback, this fiasco has no effect on his NFL career.

Before the NFL Draft, play callers take the S2 test, which assesses their cognitive ability. Players should achieve at least 80 percent of the total score here. Stroud, on the other hand, only got 18 percent, as reported by sports journalist Bob McGinn.

After the publication of this unflattering result, doubts about Stroud’s suitability for the NFL grew. On Wednesday, the person concerned tried to dispel this skepticism immediately before the draft.

“I’m a football player… not an S2 player,” Stroud told the attending media in Kansas City. “I know I have a God-given talent – not only in the game but also in my IQ.”

The quarterback also does not shy away from comparison with competitors such as Bryce Young or Will Levis, all of whom did better in the S2 test. “I think I’m very smart. I think if I’m not the smartest QB in this draft, I’m still one of the smartest in this draft and in the NFL.”

CJ Stroud with message to the NFL community

Stroud also revealed that he only found out about the excitement surrounding his test results from his agent. The signal caller deliberately took a break from social media before the draft.

To those who were recently discussing him online, Stroud sent a clear message on Wednesday: “At the end of the day, I don’t have to prove anything to anyone.”

The 21-year-old is not worried about the NFL draft anyway. “The people who make the selection know what I can do. That’s all that counts for me,” said Stroud with self-confidence.
