NFL Icon Tom Brady Talks Patriots Homecoming

Tom Brady scared the NFL with the New England Patriots for 20 years. The quarterback legend returns to Foxborough on Sunday – with a lot of anticipation in his luggage.

The Patriots pay homage to Brady Sunday before the NFL game opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. The California native played for the AFC East team from 2000 to 2020 and won six Super Bowls with the Pats during that time.

Given that track record, it’s no wonder Brady has fond memories of his time in New England. “Lots of gratitude, lots of gratitude,” TB12 replied Monday on his Lets’s Go! podcast when asked how he feels about his return to Gillette Stadium.

“I’ve had two decades of incredible, life-changing experiences. I have so many memories of my time and the people there, and I’m creating a new memory with the people there,” Brady announced ahead of the upcoming ceremony.

The most successful NFL player of all time left the Patriots in 2020 to ultimately join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three seasons. There he won his seventh Super Bowl ring in his freshman season. Brady finally announced his retirement from professional football last February.

NFL: Tom Brady confirms TV job

As a recent NFL retiree, Brady is excited about the new perspective his visit to New England will bring. “I was there as a player, I was a competitor there once and now I will go there as a real fan.”

In addition, Brady confirmed that he will be commentating on NFL games as a TV analyst in the near future. “And then I’ll be there as a commentator going forward… I love the sport and I love the Patriots so going there to see a lot of my family and friends will really be a great experience,” the GOAT explained finally.
