In 2010 Ndamukong Suh came into the NFL, 15 years later he left her. In the meantime, he won a super bowl and was chosen several times in the All-Pro team. But now he has officially recognized the signs of the times.

Since the 2022 season, Suh, who was most recently active at the Philadelphia Eagles, had no more played. Now he ends the chapter NFL highly.

In an emotional statement on social media, Suh not only says goodbye to the NFL, but also from his father.

“July 12, 2024 was the hardest day in my life. It was the day I said goodbye to my father. The man who raised me, shaped me, challenged and believed in me before I believed in myself. He was not just a father. He was my idol, my coach and my anchor.

He taught me what it means to be disciplined, concentrated and adamant, with everything I do. Every snap that I made during football was wearing his fingerprint. Every time I faced someone, I heard his voice that drove me and reminded me that I didn’t just represent myself. I represented him, my family, my name, “said Suh.

It was also his father who, before his death, gave him the advice of giving the football cleats. “Before he died, he gave me one last advice:
“It is time to let go of football. You have achieved everything you have planned. Now it’s time for the next chapter. This conversation is in my memory. And today, a year later, I fulfill this wish,” writes Suh.
