Neymar and the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have finally ended their cooperation. The contract of the almost 33 -year -old Brazilian was “mutually agreed”, as the club announced. A return of the former world star in his homeland is becoming increasingly likely. FC Santos, for which Neymar already played until 2013, should be interested in a return of the 128-time Brazilian international, who, according to media reports, is not averse.
According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there should already be an oral agreement between the striker and Santos, which is therefore to be implemented shortly. Although Neymar could earn more money in the MLS, he made it clear to his father and consultant that he wanted to return to the club who raised him. For Santos there are 225 games in the balance sheet with 136 goals – he did more games and goals for no other club. In the past, he had always stated that he wanted to appear again for the club.
According to the Brazilian media, associations from the upcoming World Cup gastic country USA, including Chicago Fire, are said to be interested in an obligation by the offensive player who still holds the record for the highest transfer fee in football: in 2017 he was for 222 million euros from FC Barcelona switched to Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar was actually under contract with Al-Hilal until summer, but he had no longer played a role in the team of coach Jorge Jesus for a long time. The tricky attacker, to accuse the critic of a penchant for unnecessary artificial sites and provocations, has only played for the club three times in the league since moving to Saudi Arabia in August 2023, and scored a goal.
Neymar had moved to the Saudi Arabian league for 90 million euros from PSG. After a cruciate ligament tear that he suffered in October 2023 in an operation for the national team, a one -year forced break followed. During his comeback in October last year and in November, Neymar came to two shorter missions before he stopped thigh complaints.
