The Italian startup Next It has a portable power bank capable of recharging electric vehicles or acting as an energy reserve on wheels for campers, mobile workshops and road construction sites. Called Xtrolleyhas a handle and two wheels at the base to favor its movements, while in the central carapace it allows you to fix two batteries, available on three capacity levels. The access model has a capacity of 2 kWh total, in the face of a power disbursed by 3.7 kW, while the intermediate has 4 kWh capacity and up to 7.4 kW of output power. At the top of the range, the performance version, which can accumulate 7.2 kWh and deliver 7.4 kW.

The Xtrolley presents a plate comprising more types of sockets at the higher end. The traditional Schuko 16a are added USB-A and USB-C, as well as an attack Type 2 Mode 3 compatible with the charging cables of electric cars. On the level of the dimensions, measure 71 centimeters in height, 35 cm in width and 30 cm in thickness, while the weight varies from 25 kg of the basic “standard” model to the 45 kg of the most large “performance”. Rechargeable from the traditional 220 V domestic socket within two hours, it is also monitored via smartphone, with oneapplication dedicated that also reports the state of the charge and the position. The first lot of Xtrolley, consisting of 1,000 units, can already be preordained with a refundable deposit of 100 euros, while the list price starts from 1,950 eurosIncluding VAT. The 4 kWh Plus version starts from 4,750 euros, and the top of the 7.4 kWh performance range from 6,950 euros.

There are several applications designed for the Xtrolley, not only relegated to the area automotive. For an electric car, it can represent the equivalent of a petrol tank of a thermal car, to make emergency refills in the event that the battery is exhausted away from a column. Another case of use for private consumers is that of energy reserve in campingto feed the users of your camper without relying on diesel generators. But Next’s perspective also ranges on the sector B2Bthat is, supplies to companies and professionals. This is because Xtrolley can represent an alternative practice for Mobile workshops or road construction sites as an energy source, but also an additional service for car fleets in sharing and rental, to avoid activating the recovery procedures of any unloaded vehicles.
