Next signing for Al-Ahli: Demiral comes from Atalanta Bergamo

The Al-Ahli SFC has again added to the transfer market. The leaders of the Saudi Pro League presented Merih Demiral on Saturday. The centre-back arrives from Atalanta Bergamo and has signed a contract until June 30, 2026 which is set to net him around €36m.

Al-Ahli is reported to be paying €20m for the 25-year-old. This brings the club’s expenses to €141.2m – Riyad Mahrez (32), Roger Ibañez (24), Allan Saint-Maximin (26), Edouard Mendy (31), Franck Kessié (26) and Roberto Firmino (31) signed. League-wide, only Al-Hilal SFC spent more (€289m).
