Lots of experience in Europe
After the transfer of Bilal Hussein, Hertha BSC signed the next midfielder: Andreas Bouchalakis moved from Olympiakos Piraeus to the Spree and signed a working paper with the second division club until 2025.
“Andreas signaled directly in the interviews that he was interested in the task at Hertha BSC. Not only has he played over 300 competitive games in Greece, England and Turkey, but he has also gained experience in European competitions and with the Greek national team which he can pass on to our young players on and off the pitch. Andreas fulfills exactly the profile we were looking for,” says sports director Benjamin Weber about the new signing.
Tousart ahead of Piatek: Hertha BSC’s most expensive additions
As Bouchalakis’ contract in Greece would have expired in 2024, the fee is reported to be in the mid-six figures. The 30-year-old, who brings the experience from England to Turkey from his previous positions, said of his move:
“For me, moving to Germany is a big dream come true. I am very happy to be able to show what I can do at Hertha BSC and I would like to use my experience to help the team as much as possible to achieve their goals.”
