In the mountains of Northern Pakistan, a tragic accident occurred again just a few weeks after the death of Laura Dahlmeier. An alpinist dies on the second highest mountain in the world.

Just a few weeks after the death of Laura Dahlmeier, there was a death again in the Pakistani Karakorum Mountains. As the local climbing club announced, Chinese Guan Jing died on the eight -thousand -like K2. The climber had relegated from the summit of the second highest mountain in the world on Tuesday when she was hit by rockfall.

Helicopters have already recovered their body, it said. With Jing, which was part of an international climbing expedition, according to the Alpine Club, four climbers in the mountains in northern Pakistan have already lost their lives this year. The region attracts daring alpinists every year. But even in summer there are high risks from avalanches and storms.

International dismay triggered the death of German ex-biathlete Laura Dahlmeier at the end of July. The experienced mountain athlete was also hit by a rockfall on the Laila Peak, which is located around 30 kilometers from the K2 in Northern Pakistan.

According to her management, she had decided that her body should stay on the mountain in the event of her death if helpers went in mortal danger when rescue.
