Two days after the derby defeat against the Krefeld Pinguine (3:4 aet), the traditional club was again defeated by a team from the lower regions of the table: the Augsburg Panthers lost 0:1 (0:0, 0:0, 0:0 , 0:1) after overtime.
Adam Payerl decided the game in the second minute of overtime for Augsburg, who in turn made contact with the ranks for the pre-play-offs again in eleventh place.
Düsseldorf is still ninth there, but the top six in the table have rushed for the time being.
