Former English world-class player Frank Lampard suffered his next setback as manager of Everton FC and failed in the FA Cup at Manchester United.

The Toffees were eliminated in the FA Cup on Friday (06.01.23) by a 1: 3 (1: 1) at Manchester United and remained without a win in their eighth competitive game in a row.

Everton are also in acute danger of relegation in the Premier League. Lampard had previously coached Chelsea between 2019 and 2021 without much success and was then replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Antony (4′), an own goal by Conor Coady (52′) and Marcus Rashford from the penalty spot (90’+7′) sealed Manchester United’s progress. Coady managed to equalize in the meantime (14′).
