For what purpose did they carry out the company?
Kit Solar was born in a garage among family and friends. We had a small electrical company, but we saw the need to generate clean energy. We found that in Argentina there was no serious development of solar energy. There were more than 500,000 people without access to the electricity grid and an energy matrix that depended more than 60% on fossil fuel.
To counteract these problems we had to get out of our comfort zone, transforming what we had into something better.
During the process, we understood that there is a great lack of knowledge about solar energy and also about energy consumption and its environmental impact.
Investigating these problems, we observed that more than 120,000 families, because they did not have access to the electricity network, could not access water either. We believe that there is no possibility of development without basic needs covered.
We identified a major problem for which there are families without access to energy: its distribution over long distances.
This motivated us to create a Kit with which everyone has electricity without the need for technical knowledge, or to buy anything else that the Kit itself includes. In addition to being maintenance free.
In this sense, we analyze that Mercado Libre was a tool to reach the entire country. In this way, we not only managed to get closer to these people, but we also managed to massify the use of solar energy to address other problems such as the emission of greenhouse gases and the democratization of electricity, since in our country there is no possibility of choosing who provides us with this resource.
What is the Solar Kit differential?
Our main differential is the awareness of energy consumption, through the use of solar energy. For this, we made different alliances to transmit the message. Dialoguing in universities, schools and also participating in massive events such as Lollapalooza, Wateke, Festival Nuestro, Bioferia and in different actions with recognized brands such as Budweiser and Hernán Cattaneo. Currently, we also work on large projects for sustainable real estate, industrial and road developments.
Steadily, we have grown. As a company and as people, learning to be sustainable.
We can proudly say that there are Solar Kits in all regions of the country. Each person who buys our product is in contact with our technical department for possible doubts. Therefore, we generate a round trip with the client that serves to continue educating about renewable energies.
