★★★★ Yes, the main character is the Mummy from the (beautiful) The Mummy, the 1999 movie. That being said, this crime thriller series is very interesting: the main character is a tycoon who manufactures and sells furniture and , at the same time, a diamond smuggler. A relative of his is kidnapped and that forces him to use the criminal side of the business to save him. Which implies that things are going to spiral until the fragile millionaire life of the man and his family are at risk. Yeah, okay, nothing new. Is there anything new? What this series gives, apart from the fact that Vosloo is great, is that the criminal element, the pure story, is embedded without underlining or pointing fingers in the painting of a rich world with very strict rules. The style helps: the crudeness of the situations with the stylized setting of the cameras. Even with its common places, a series out of the ordinary.
