How were the beginnings of the winery and where is it located?
Ferraro Wines was born as a dream that begins to take shape when, after a long road, we manage to transform it into reality; oenophiles who spend years researching, tasting and studying wine.
The winery is located in Agrelo-Lujan de Cuyo-Mendoza, a place chosen for the great quality of its wines; Its deep, clayey soil allows for a slow maturation that provides balance, body, and elegance. Water retention allows us to achieve wines with very round and smooth tannins, another characteristic provided by the area that was relevant when deciding the location, to achieve the wines we make.
The view of the Cordillera cannot be overlooked when glass in hand from the gallery we immerse ourselves in a world of enchantment, a gift of nature that can be appreciated behind extensive vineyards, giving us an imposing image.
What services do you offer to the public?
We undertake the project as a boutique winery prioritizing the high quality of the products, taking care of our wines from the vineyards, carrying out manual harvesting for a better selection of grapes.
With advanced machinery and technology we produce top quality wines in stainless steel tanks with staves, our entry line is made in its three varietals, Malbec, Cabernet Suavignon and Chardonnay.
For our Reserve line, we choose to pass the wine through second and third use French oak barrels. Within this line we have three labels Reserva Malbec, Blend and our star La Carmenere, a strain native to Bordeaux in France, which has adapted favorably in Chile. In our country, there are very few hectares planted for its production, however we took on the challenge of making a great Carmenere, emphasizing that with a different climate and terroir than the trans-Andean one, we could also make an excellent Carmenere, with characteristics that are not so Pyrassian and herbal, but yes very round and well integrated fruit, with friendly and sweet tannins this Carmenere envelops the mouth with freshness.
Our top of the range Winemakers Selection are wines made entirely with first-use French oak barrels and foudres for fourteen months, in this way we obtain distinguished and balanced wines.
