For fifteen years, EPIC has provided a comprehensive service applied both to the design of furniture using state-of-the-art digital tools, as well as their manufacture and installation. We speak with Sergio R. Pereyra responsible for the firm.
How was the beginning of the company?
EPIC was born in 2006 as a venture in a department of Córdoba Capital. We started with the design and manufacture of small furniture such as TV racks and coffee tables. We would travel by bus to buy the wood and on a small ninth floor we would cut and assemble each piece of furniture and then, again by bus, dispatch it to each client.
Shortly after, due to demand reasons, we decided to move the enterprise to Villa Regina, in the province of Río Negro. We settled in a small room of 10 m2. Here we began to have consultations for construction furniture and quickly began to specialize in kitchen furniture, closets, dressing rooms, among others. The problem was that, as we did not have a vehicle to transport these larger modules, we had to resort to the help of friends with a van and on several occasions we had to move the modules on foot to the client’s property.
In 2012 we moved to the shed of a house with a little more space and pushed by the demand in Neuquén Capital, we were able to make investments in industrial machinery and have our own vehicle.
When do you go from a small production to something on a larger scale?
Around the year 2014, a local building developer bet on the project and gave us the responsibility of furnishing a building with 49 apartments complete with kitchen, closets, dressing rooms and vanities. It was our first great challenge since we did not have experience in large works. This development was completed towards the end of 2016, perfectly meeting the stipulated deadlines and the client’s expectations.
What services do they provide to the public?
We are currently a family business with fifteen years of experience in furniture. We have furnished six buildings, two banks, two public schools and more than 400 private homes. We provide a comprehensive service for furniture design using digital tools, as well as their manufacture and installation. Incorporating industrial design and the latest technology in machinery, giving our products a modern aesthetic with excellent quality components and finishes. We develop each project completely adapted to the client. We do not work with standard modules, this gives each client and builder the possibility of finding a solution according to what they need without conditions or limitations.
What challenges do you have for the years to come?
Our vision for the future is to put all our knowledge, brand and production in a franchise system.
Where can you see your work?
Currently our best window is social networks, both on Instagram and Facebook we upload all our work, being able to observe our path in learning and developing furniture. In these networks, potential clients can not only see the finished work, but also the satisfaction of each client that we had confirmed in their comments and likes of the publications.
