Dispute with Arsenal star: Woltemade rejects sorry

The German international is involved in a duel with an Arsenal star during the game against the “Gunners” – And then it is irrelevant. Reason: an action after his goal.
Newcastle newcomer Woltemade, however, was not only the focus during the game through its second goal of the season – But also with his examination of Arsenal defender Gabriel. After the game, Woltemade commented on the incident – And explained that he rejected an apology from Gabriel. “After the goal there was a situation in which I suddenly felt his elbow on my face from two meters away, so his arm had to be really high,” said the 1.98 meter tall Woltemade after the game at Sky Sports. “I told the referee that I felt something on my face and that I think that cannot be right.”
And further: “He apologizes, so I think he knew exactly that he hit me on his face. That didn’t clear the situation to be honest. I don’t like it if you do things in the game and apologize a few seconds later. That has no place in football.”
Woltemade stated to his reaction to Gabriel’s assault: “I am not the type of player who then falls. That is difficult, because sometimes you may have to do that, but that’s not my idea of football.”
