New track by Moby feat. Akemi Fox: Listen to “fall back” streamed here

On Wednesday (November 2nd), Moby’s third single “fall back” (feat Akemi Fox) was released on his self-founded label “always centered at night”.

That influenced the sound of the piece: Moby’s two superheroes

In an Instagram video, the musician talks about his inspiration for the track: “The song is completely inspired by two of my superheroes: Sly & Robbie and the late 70’s early 80’s New York music scene that I grew up in.”

The two musicians and producers Sly & Robbie made a major contribution to the reggae of the 70s and 80s. Bassist and keyboardist Robbie Shakespeare passed away in 2021.

“I want to fall back into a dream again” – The music video

Moby co-directed the music video with filmmaker Mike Formanski. Accompanied by gray shots of abandoned places, Akemi Fox sings about the desire to return to her dream world to escape from the present.
