Zalando appoints Padmaja Bommareddy to the position of SVP of Corporate Development.
In this role, Bommareddy is responsible for “identifying and implementing new business opportunities” in order to expand and further develop the platform strategy of the Berlin online retailer, Zalando announced on Monday.
Bommareddy comes to Zalando from US retail chain Walmart, where she led the fashion omnichannel strategy. So far, she has worked in Europe, Asia and the USA and “thus brings a global perspective that is important for Zalando,” according to Berlin.
“We look forward to developing new business opportunities together to further optimize our offerings and services and to grow the company,” said Co-CEO Robert Gentz.
