“Just about half of the site is water -permeable and green,” says Louis Degroote, first ships of Anzegem. “We used to have a hard, industrialized site, and now we give some space to nature and soft mobility. That fits entirely within the sustainability story.”
There is also attention for the environment in terms of energy. For example, there will be a heat network that is connected to the central water supply, which must make fossil fuels superfluous.
