“Great wish of many fans”: 96 designed stadium

Many fans have wanted it for a long time, now it is time: Hannover 96 makes changes in the appearance of the stadium. The spectators can have a say.
The Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hanover receives a new appearance: As reported by second division Hannover 96, all seat shells of the club’s home venue will be exchanged and in the future in the club colors black, white and green. The time of the blue shells ends after more than 20 years, which had been installed to redesign the 2006 World Cup.
The trailers themselves determine what the future color design looks like. Because: Hannover 96 started a fan voting, in which five designs are available. The vote is now in the official 96 app and on the voting.hannover96.de page specially set up for the voting. “Because this stadium is our home, we want to take this step together with you,” the club writes on Instagram.
Martin Kind, Managing Director of Hannover 96 Arena GmbH & Co. KG, adds: “It has long been a great wish for many fans to design the seats in the Heinz von Heiden Arena in the club colors.” Now this wish could be implemented in the course of the necessary exchange. The previous blue shells had been worn out due to the weather in the now more than 20 years.
The vote ends on Monday, September 8th. The winning design is then ordered and produced. The seating should be replaced in 2026.
