What’s going on at the gas stations?

With the tank discount, fuel prices should fall and drivers should be relieved. But the opposite is happening: prices have been racing up again for a long time.

Suspicion: The oil companies are raking in the money for themselves – and ripping off their customers!

When the tank discount was introduced on June 1, the prices for petrol and diesel initially fell, according to Cartel Office head Andreas Mundt (61) on Thursday to BILD. Super costs an average of 27 cents/litre less, diesel 11 cents/litre. BUT: “Since then, prices have risen slightly again, by around 6 to 7 cents on average.”

Rip off alert! The anti-expensive advice from BILD therefore intervenes!

Inquiry with the oil multinationals Shell, BP, Exxon, Jet, Total and Avia: Do the tank discounts end up entirely with the customers – or do the corporations make friction themselves?

The answer: suspicious silence.
