Among the devices deployed, the company mentioned the Creator Marketplace on Instagram. This tool currently being tested serves as a showcase, through which creators and brands can be discovered, paid or even share partnership opportunities.

At the same time, Meta has extended the testing of NFTs. The goal is to allow creators to display their non-fungible tokens on Facebook. The tool has been tested since May on Instagram.

Meta has also extended the monetization of Reels to Facebook users. Content creators eligible for the Reels Play program can post their Instagram Reels on Facebook.

Finally, creators will be able to allow other users to benefit from their subscriptions on different applications (for example: giving TikToK access to Facebook subscribers).

Meta seeks to expand revenue

Since its launch in 2004, Facebook has always kept the discourse of free and used advertising as its main source of money. In 2021, its revenue peaked at nearly $117 billion.

Attached to this business model which constitutes 97% of its income, the American company wants to extend the means of creating monetized content. The goal is to engage the 2.191 billion users in the Meta Gear.
