The Canadian clothing provider Canada Goose Holdings Inc. has introduced a new manager. On Tuesday, the down jacket specialist from Toronto announced the appointment of Judit Bankus as Senior Vice President of Merchandising.

In her new role, in close cooperation with creative director Haider Ackermann, she will be responsible for “the development and implementation of global merchandising and price strategies and control the expansion in both existing and new product categories,” said the company. Her focus is on “sustainability and innovation”. Bankus therefore reports directly to Carrie Baker, the President, Brand & Commercial, from Canada Goose in the future.

According to its new employer, Bankus has more than twenty years of experience in the global luxury fashion industry. Most recently, she was responsible for all product categories of the Stella McCartney brand as a Chief Merchandising Officer. Before that, she had held the post of global merchandising director at the British fashion group Burberry and played an “essential role” when founding the label Karl Lagerfeld.
