New in the database: U18 European Championships from 1988 with winners Soviet Union – GDR comes third

…better and better!

The U18 European Championship from 1988 is now available in the Transfermarkt database complete with all match reports. The team from the Soviet Union emerged victorious in the eight-team tournament held in what was then Czechoslovakia at the end of July. The eleven around the future Germany legionnaire Sergey Kiryakov Remained in the final with a 3-1 win after extra time against the Portuguese team with later stars like Fernando Couto and Paulo Sousa the upper hand.
