Dallas Stars, who was named as the “Finnish club” of the NHL, announces the new head coach.

Behind the bench is a familiar man as the choice came to the company of 2011-2013 Glen Gulutzan.

For Gulutzan, 53, Stars was just the first club in the NHL. From Dallas, the journey continued to be an assistant coach at Vancouver Canucks, after which he led Calgary Flames as head coach for two seasons.

For the last seven, Gulutzan served as an assistant coach of the Edmonton Oilers.

Gulutzan replaces the task Peter Deboerwho was fired at the end of the season. Deboer coached Stars for the Western Conference Finals in three consecutive seasons, but the Stanley Cup finals remained a dream every time.

Stars currently has four Finns under the contract. Kits Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell as well as attackers Roope Hintz and Mikko Rantanen represent the Texas club next season.
