Hannover 96 has extended Lars Gindorf’s contract, which was already running by 2026, by another year. The Lower Saxony officially announced this on Friday. The 23-year-old offensive midfielder had risen from the second team in the Regionalliga Nord to the second division team last season and came up to 21 missions in the German lower house during this season. In the 1-0 victory against 1. FC Köln on the last match day, Gindorf got the winning goal-his first goal of the season.
96 Managing Director Marcus Mann said: “We agreed with Lars about the extension before the weekend-all the more beautiful that he used his chance against Cologne and also showed what he can give us and our game. In the past few years, Lars has taken a very positive development in the U23 in our professional team and also proved it there several times that he will provide important impulses there at the same time.
Gindorf feels extremely comfortable at Hannover 96 – both in the club and in the city. The extension was a logical decision for me. I still have a lot ahead of 96 and of course I want to develop more and more playing time ”.
