36 years old and not a bit tired yet! Marco Reus has been under contract with Los Angeles Galaxy for a year and a half and even won the Major League Soccer championship with the club in his first season. As the club from California has now officially announced, the joint collaboration has been extended again and early.
LA Galaxy confirmed in a club announcement that the BVB legend has signed for another season until the end of 2027.
Since moving to the USA, Marco Reus has collected a strong 22 direct goal contributions in 42 competitive games and played a key role for his colors in winning the MLS championship at the end of 2024.
“Marco brings an incredible level of quality, experience and leadership to our team,” LA Galaxy general manager Will Kuntz was quoted as saying in an official club statement on the contract extension.

“His professionalism and his daily work motivate everyone around him, and his influence both in the dressing room and on the field is huge. We are pleased that he will continue to play such an important role for our club,” added Kuntz.
Before joining the Galaxy, Reus played 429 games for Borussia Dortmund, contributing 170 goals and 131 assists. He developed into an absolute club legend for the black and yellow in the 2010s and 2020s.
During his Bundesliga career, Reus was voted German Footballer of the Year in 2012 and 2019.
The former German international also recently had some great news to announce in the family area. As he announced via Instagram, he and his wife Scarlett Gartmann-Reus are becoming parents for the third time.
