The Prince Willem Alexander School is getting a new home at ‘t Witzand in Eext. This will partly take place in the same place where the current school already stands.
That is what the college of mayor and aldermen decided yesterday. It was previously determined that new construction for primary schools is better than renovation. After talks with local residents, the school and other stakeholders, three locations were discussed: two in the current location and one near the football fields in Eext.
The Municipal Executive has studied the three variants and has opted for new construction at the current location because that is the best place to guarantee traffic safety. In 2023, the city council will be asked to reserve a ton of preparation costs. The tendering procedure will then also start.
The intention is that the new school can open its doors in 2025.
