New building Sint-Jozefsschool Ypres energy efficient to reduce gas bill

From this weekend, all 400 toddlers and primary school children will be in the brand new building.

Old buildings on

The old school was demolished at the end of May 2021. Meanwhile, the children were taught in other classrooms on the same site. The new building is well insulated, there are solar panels and a heat pump. In this way they hope to keep the gas bill under control. The old buildings were completely gone.

The new building cost 5.9 million euros, 75 percent of which was subsidized by Flanders.
