Rosalía’s fourth album is about to be released. “Lux” will be released on November 7th.
The singer herself made the announcement via a billboard in Times Square, where she posed against a soft blue background in a fitted white top and a sheer white veil over her hair, while the word “LUX” appeared in serif font.
Below the album title, the release date – November 7th – is written in simple font, along with what appears to be a logo for the project. “HABEMUS ALBUM”she wrote on Instagram later that day, sharing the album cover and a presave link.
“Lux” comes more than three years after the innovative album “Motomami,” which featured the singles “La Fama” (with The Weeknd), “Saoko” and “Chicken Teriyaki.” The Spanish singer previously released the album “El Mal Querer” in 2018, which also includes her breakthrough hit “Malamente”. Rosalía’s debut album, “Los Ángeles”, was released in 2017.
Rosalía: New album is more of a continuation than a new beginning
Last September, the musician announced that she was already working on her fourth album. In an interview with Highsnobiety, she said that with her new music she is still dealing with the same questions as on her last record.
“It was a long process,” Rosalía said. “I’ve changed a lot, but at the same time I’m still concerned with the same things. It’s like I still have the same questions and the same desire to answer them. I still have the same love for the past and the same curiosity about the future.”
Since 2022’s “Motomami,” Rosalía has released a number of solo singles, including “LLYM” in 2022 and “Tuya” in 2023. In the same year, she released “RR,” an EP in collaboration with Rauw Alejandro, collaborated with Björk on “Oral,” and was on Lisa’s “New Woman” and Ralphie Choo’s “Omega” in 2024 involved.

Rosalía also revealed new details about her new album “Lux”. The new songs were recorded with the London Symphonic Orchestra under the direction of Daníel Bjarnason. Although it is still unclear which songs will feature guest vocalists, the press release confirms that Björk, Portuguese fado singer Carminho, Spanish flamenco singer Estrella Morente, Spanish singer Silvia Pérez Cruz, Música Mexicana star Yahritza and experimental musician Yves Tumor will be featured on the album will be.
