Neo.Fashion announces the seventh edition of Neo.Fashion. which will take place on July 11 and 12, 2023 as an important part of Berlin Fashion Week. After a one-year break, the hybrid event is returning to the historic Alte Münze Berlin and once again impresses this year with captivating shows, a curated showroom, the award for the best graduates in Germany and other exciting program items.
The core of the event are the Graduate Shows, where nine universities and over 80 talented graduates from all over Germany come together. These exceptional young designers present their outstanding bachelor’s and master’s collections and show their creativity, skills and unique perspectives. With the aim of encouraging collaboration and celebrating the achievements of these graduates, Neo.Fashion. a platform that unites fashion design schools and promotes the exchange of ideas. What is new is that the designs from two fashion schools can now be viewed in each Collective Show. The four collective Graduate Shows of the nine schools will take place on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Another highlight of Neo.Fashion. 2023 is the presentation of the renowned Neo.Fashion. Awards. This award recognizes the top graduates from twelve respected institutions across the country. The nominees present their impressive graduation collections in the Best Graduates Show. A top-class jury headed by the Fashion Council Germany (FCG) will honor particularly outstanding work in the categories Best Design, Best Sustainability Concept, Best Craftsmanship and Best Innovation. The winners receive individual mentor packages from the jury and Neo.Fashion. network that pave the way to success.
Aspiring Designers & Special Guests
In addition, Neo.Fashion. the second edition of the “Aspiring Designers” Collective Shows and Showrooms, where up-and-coming Berlin fashion brands present their latest collections and designs. The event offers a unique opportunity for young labels to show their creations to a wide audience, including trade visitors, buyers, the press and those interested in fashion, and to make or deepen valuable contacts in the industry. In addition, it is with great pleasure that we welcome our guests to the Ukrainian Fashion Week. Thanks to the close cooperation with the format “Look into the Future” and the support of the GiZ – German Society for International Cooperation GmbH, five exceptional Ukrainian talents can again this year the Neo.Fashion. enrich with their work.
New formats: Virtual Fashion Contest Show & Neo.Fashion. Letters – fashion meets art
Not only as a physically wearable product, but also virtually, fashion can inspire in all its diversity. Around twenty 3D designers have designed digital collections for the “Virtual Fashion Contest”. The winners will be chosen during a separate show. We too can look forward to the results of this new format! Neo.Fashion. are also pleased to announce the new project “Neo.Fashion. Letters – Fashion meets Art”. This exciting project offers young artists the opportunity to individually and creatively design 10 human-sized 3D letters. The “Neo Fashion” letters, which are made of wood in advance, are processed with different means and techniques and then exhibited during the event at the location at the Alte Münze. The project aims to stimulate dialogue between designers and artists and push the boundaries of creativity and diversity.
In addition to the impressive fashion shows and the showroom, Neo.Fashion. this year also an exclusive networking evening that brings together young graduates and established players in the industry. This evening offers the opportunity to make valuable contacts, to enter into cooperation and to exchange ideas with other players in the fashion industry.
