Nearly 40 million children susceptible to measles due to reduced vaccination coverage

Since the start of the corona pandemic, measles vaccination coverage has steadily declined. In 2021, a record number of nearly 40 million children missed a dose of the vaccine: 25 million of them missed the first dose, another 14.7 million missed the second. This is according to a joint report by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US health authority CDC.
