NBA star Antetokounmpo buys football club Nashville FC

NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo invests in football. The two-time North American professional basketball league MVP has acquired shares in Nashville FC along with his brothers Thanasis, Kostas and Alex. This was announced by the Major League Soccer club on Thursday.

The group of investors around the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) also includes ice hockey star Filip Forsberg, the best scorer in the history of the Nashville Predators from the NHL.

“My father was a professional soccer player and it was the first sport I fell in love with in Greece,” said Antetokounmpo, 2021 NBA champion. “I’ve always had a dream of owning a soccer team. I couldn’t be more excited to join the Boys in Gold and can’t wait to get to a match soon.”
