The Government Delegation in Madrid has prohibited the holding of a second anti-NATO demonstration on June 29both convened by the State Platform for Peace, estimating that is “incompatible” with the work dinner to be held at the Prado Museum for this event.
The State Platform for Peace, which will lead the concentration planned for this Sunday, to which representatives of United Left Y Can, had informed the Delegation of a second demonstration for the 29th, which intended to cover the route between Atocha and Plaza Jacinto Benavente at a time close to the dinner marked on the agenda of the summit.
But as sources from the Government Delegation have indicated to Efe, a report carried out by the Superior Headquarters of the Madrid Police has concluded that the march is “incompatible” due to the proximity of the place and time with the dinner, which will be chaired by the Government leader, Pedro Sánchez.
Also, the report finds that change of travel path not possiblesince the entire downtown area of the capital will be affected by the security device deployed around the meeting at the museum.
The Police argue that, since it is the same convener of the concentration organized for this Sunday, the dissemination of their protests and messages is “guaranteed”.
