Eintracht Frankfurt has announced an important course for the future. Defense chief Koch extends in the long term. He listens to his gut feeling.
National player Robin Koch prematurely extended his contract at Eintracht Frankfurt until 2030. The traditional Hessian club announced this on Tuesday afternoon. Despite other offers, the 28-year-old defense chief decided to remain with the Bundesliga club after intensive discussions.
“We succeeded in tying an absolute service provider in the long term, which is an important signal,” said Frankfurt sports director Markus Krösche to extend the contract that was previously valid until 2027.
Koch emphasized the role of his gut feeling in the decision: “Here, too, this told me relatively early that it was only correct to extend my contract.”
Since his change from Leeds United in 2023, Koch played 85 competitive games for Eintracht and was instrumental in the success of the association last season. His commitment contributed to the fact that Frankfurt qualified for the Champions League.
