Undav about criticism: “Suddenly Döner Essen was a problem”

In an interview, Deniz Undav talks about what criticism expressed on the Internet. He describes an accusation as “nonsense”.
National player Deniz Undav, in his opinion, reported incorrect criticism of his person and the consequences. He bothered him “that things were suddenly made a problem that were not a problem before,” said the 28-year-old of the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” with a view to a season phase in which it was not going well for him.
Undav, who won the DFB Cup with VfB Stuttgart and plays with Germany in the Nations League against Portugal on Wednesday (from 9:00 p.m. in the live ticker at T-Online), also gave examples. “The Undav does not run, the Undav is not fast enough, all of this. I was not another player at this time, I was just as fast or not quick as always, I didn’t walk more or less than usual.”
“It was said that my body language was not true that I let myself be hanged. Honestly: This is just gun. The accusation is really nonsense. And it has become more and more, Doner Essen was suddenly a problem,” the Stuttgart striker quoted the accusations from the net.
Undav explained: “I didn’t eat a kebab at all in the weeks in which I did not meet. I did without chocolate. And instead of four energy drinks a week, I only drank one that right away before the game. But that people think so much.”
The criticism was also a reason for his spring crisis. “It is important to me what people think of me, the fans, the teammates, and if everything is good and I am happy, I can be the best possible deniz. But if you hear such allegations, you get to doubt yourself,” said Undav. The striker had not hit the Bundesliga between mid -January and mid -April.
