National soccer player Jule Brand joined the Champions League record winner Olympique Lyon from summer. The 22-year-old comes from VfL Wolfsburg and receives a contract in France until 2028.
The club is happy “About Jule Brand’s decision to switch to Lyon”it said in a statement on Thursday. The contract of the European Vice European Champion and Olympic thirds in the “Wolves” expires in summer. Since the beginning of the year it has been certain that Brand would not extend the contract.
Brand moved from TSG Hoffenheim to Wolfsburg in 2022, and in the same year she was awarded the best U21 player in Europe. With VfL she won the DFB Cup twice and reached the final of the Champions League in 2023.
