National motorcyclist Can Öncü became 3rd in Spain – Last minute Motor Sports news



While the first race of 17 laps, which started at 16.15 CEST on the Barcelona Track, was continuing, the red flag was lifted due to the accident in the first lap and the race was stopped. After the break, the track was cleared and the race was shortened to 12 laps and restarted.


Can Öncü, the young pilot of the Kawasaki Puccetti team, had the podium finish by passing the checkered flag in the 3rd place in the race where he fought very well.


Yamaha’s Dominique Aegerter finished first and Yamaha’s Lorenzo Baldassarri finished second.


In his post-race statement, Can Öncü said, “It’s great to be on the podium again, everyone had a good race today. Maybe I could be in second place, I hope I can achieve that tomorrow.” he said.


BAHATTİN SOFUOĞLU TAKES 5TH IN THE FIRST RACE IN SPAIN


Bahattin Sofuoğlu, the other national motorcyclist who competed on the Barcelona Track, came 5th in the first race in the 8th leg of the season with the MV Agusta Reparto Corse team.


After the race, national motorcyclists Can Öncü and Bahattin Sofuoğlu made a show of joy with Turkish flags.


Moon-star motorcyclists Can Öncü and Bahattin Sofuoğlu will take to the track in the second race at 13.30 CEST tomorrow.
