City of Izegem: “Satisfied that everything happened on schedule and safely”
The completion of the works was scheduled for the end of December. December 1 has arrived, and many Izegem residents will be happy about that, if only because the local diversions caused very busy traffic and traffic jams in the city. The Rijksweg or N36 is a regional road and an important traffic artery between Roeselare and Deerlijk.
“It is a central axis through our city,” says Alderman for Mobility Bruno Lambert.
“A very nice job. That national highway has really been upgraded, as we can already see. Phase 4 has now been completed and as I said, I am very satisfied that everything happened on schedule and safely.”
