Natasja Froger is being criticized for the way she talks about her husband René Froger’s cheating. “He abandoned his two children for you!” Yvonne Coldeweijer shouts.
This weekend it is time for three new stars in the celebrity crying show of SBS 6: Natasja Froger, Ernst Daniël Smid and Edino van Dorsten, who grew up in the isolated family from Ruinerwold. A fragment has already been posted online by the channel (see below) and in it we see Natasja talking extensively about her love affair with René Froger.
‘I didn’t know’
René abandoned his first wife Yolanda and their family to run away with Natasja. And Natasja is now quite romanticizing that. “I honestly didn’t know he was married. And I’ll tell you: if I had known, the exact same thing would probably have happened,” she says.
“We just had an incredible click right away. I could laugh with him a lot and the next day we flew back on Thursday, then he took me home and I had to fly again the next day. And he went on holiday with his family the next day. He told me that. And how many flights go to Spain in the summer?”
Stewardess
Natasja worked as a stewardess and purser at KLM Cityhopper and Martinair at the time. “And I’m getting on board and who is getting on board with me with his wife and his child?”
So René. “How can you imagine? Then René came into the kitchen and said: ‘Oh, sorry, I thought you knew. Yes, this was not the intention, this happened to us.’ I said, ‘You know what? What happened in Athens, stays in Athens, we’re not going to talk about it anymore. Now you sit down and then it was a fling that came about and then we leave it there.’”
In front of the door
It soon became apparent that René wanted to continue cheating on Natasja. “After a week he showed up at my door from Spain. He said: ‘I had to fly back and forth because I found it so painful on board, but I have never felt what I am feeling now.’ I said: ‘Then you’ll have to give it a place, because I absolutely don’t feel like it.’”
“And we kept that up for a long time. Then the following year I thought: he is still in my head.”
What does Yvonne think?
Yvonne Coldeweijer, who hates cheating men and especially cheating celebrity men, sneers at her juicechannel: “It’s really so beautiful how he left his wife and two children for you. 🥹”
It is also raining critical reactions on SBS’s Instagram page. “Sounds so incredibly romantic, but actually it just isn’t 😂,” says one Lisa.

Yous is also annoyed by it. “Melodramatic background music, as if it were a very beautiful sad story… The world turned upside down.”
Mireille: “This story has clearly turned into a swoon-worthy novel over the years. 😅😅”
And yet another: “You can knit it together nicely, but it is absolutely not OK.”
