“It was a terrible game for both of them – just like you imagine a relegation game. That was pure fighting. That was a dirty game and you have to win one like that first,” said Johannes Wasilewski after the game on “Dyn.”

Goalkeeper Rudeck is there from the start

The BHC, who recently made people sit up and take notice with a point win at VfL Gummersbach, needed a few minutes to find their way into the game and then pulled away for the first time with two goals after ten minutes. Thanks to a very strong phase from goalkeeper Christopher Rudeck, who had already made six saves after 14 minutes, Eisenach remained without a goal of their own for nine minutes.

BHC pulls away at the break – Eisenach comes out of the locker room well

In the offensive, the Bergische HC mainly used quick switching movements – left winger Noah Beyer completed one or two counter-kicks. By halftime, the hosts had gained a three-goal lead.

After the break, the BHC’s offense stalled a bit and Rudeck also had to get the ball out of the net more often. After nine minutes in the second half, ex-BHC coach Sebastian Hinze’s team equalized to 17:17.

BHC with strong crunch time

A balanced second half developed, in which the BHC only pulled away for the first time with two goals ten minutes before the end. Goalkeeper Rudeck also found his way into the game better again and ended up with a strong 15 saves.

Eisenach fought back again and again and was able to equalize again five minutes before the end of the game. As in Gummersbach, the BHC played a strong crunch time and scored three goals in a row two minutes before the end. The Bergische HC defended this lead until the end.

The BHC remains in 15th place in the table and is only one point behind Eisenach.
