The place, in this case, is history. Hotel Gallia, Milan, just outside the Central Station. Here they have consumed, and will soon be consumed again, authentic adventures worthy of a grotesque novel. Here players have been bought in exchange for herds of cows, they have signed cigarette packets as if they were checks to the bearer, they have combined real ambushes so that the so-and-so does not move to that team, but at the last moment he chooses another one.
