Nagelsmann is looking forward to Hoffenheim’s return in front of fans

Munich (dpa) – Bayern Munich’s coach Julian Nagelsmann is looking forward to his first Bundesliga guest appearance at his former club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in front of an audience.

“I’m looking forward to it. The other games in Hoffenheim were all without spectators,” said Nagelsmann before the top game in the Bundesliga this Saturday (3:30 p.m.) between leaders FC Bayern Munich and fourth in the table.

The 34-year-old is excited to welcome the 25,600 admitted spectators in the arena in Sinsheim. “Hopefully the whistle is over now, that would have been more acute in the first few weeks afterwards,” said Nagelsmann on his farewell from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2019: “So I’m looking forward to returning to where I spent an incredible nine years. ” After moving to RB Leipzig in 2019, he had won twice with the Saxons at Hoffenheim (2-0, 1-0). Both games were ghost games because of Corona.

“The games with Leipzig in Hoffenheim were always very complicated,” Nagelsmann recalled. In addition, TSG have won three of the last five home games against Bayern. “So we’re well warned to put in a top performance. The opponents are very dangerous, they’ve won the last four games.”

After the 7-1 gala in the Champions League against RB Salzburg, Bayern did not complain about any new failures. The offensive players Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry can also be scheduled after muscular problems. “We will adjust something,” Nagelsmann said of possible tactical and personnel changes in his team.
