Germany has to appear differently against Northern Ireland. For this, Julian Nagelsmann probably relies on four new players in the starting eleven.

According to “Bild”, Stuttgart Maximilian Mittelstädt should also be one of the candidates who should no longer be in the starting eleven against Northern Ireland. However, this would come as a surprise in that the left-back was one of the DFB professionals who showed a somewhat solid performance against Slovakia and partly in an unusual position.

In the game against Slovakia, Mittelstädt was even pulled to the other side during the break. Since Collins was overwhelmed and weakly presented, Julian Nagelsmann changed the Eintracht professional for the break and brought David Raum. As usual, the Leipziger was allowed to act as a left -back, while Mittelstädt had to step in as a right -back. He received grade 3 from T-Online. The “kicker” awarded the grade of 3.5 on Mittelstädt.

But who could go to the starting eleven for the four exchange candidates? For Mittelstädt, space could come as a left -back. As a right -back, instead of Collins Dortmund’s Waldemar Anton, would be an option. Stiller could be replaced by Robert Andrich, who, as a type of player, could also bring the “emotion” missing from Nagelsmann. There were several options for Gnabry, for example in Jamie Leweling.
